Rue Thiac : la maison de Jean Léon Dufau de Lamothe
Dans la deuxième moitié du 18 le quartier de Saint-Seurin connut un grand développement. C’est à cette époque qu’Il perdit son caractère champêtre et se trouva rattaché à la ville à la suite des travaux des intendants. Profitant des espaces disponibles, Jean Léon Dufau de Lamothe acheta un vaste terrain pour y bâtir en 1764 sa résidence à la fois maison de ville et maison de campagne. Malgré les différentes occupations de l’immeuble au 19 et 20 il reste encore de nombreux éléments
de la décoration d’origine dont des ouvrages en fer forgé de grande qualité.

In the second half of the 18th century, the Saint-Seurin neighborhood experienced great development.
